who would eat the sun
on a frozen beach
i'd watch carefully
never told me why
cause i never asked
sunrise and sunset
she would stare and stare

by cosmic cycles
she then glanced at me
her secret smile
when she grew too much
and flew into space
one with the fire
at home, burning core
leaving me behind
a small speck of sand
covered by silent snow
drowned by the still sea
on a clod of dirt
wandering the void
staring, staring at the stars

falling off my decline
forget the fallen
